Case Study Challenge

Case Study: "Sneaker Street: Navigating Hype and Social Responsibility"

DESCRIPTION

"Sneaker Street" is a fictional brand specializing in limited-edition sneakers. They've collaborated with well-known musicians, athletes, and social media influencers since their establishment in 2019. The brand often features prominently on popular social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok.

BACKGROUND

While Sneaker Street enjoys a broad fan base, it faces challenges concerning accessibility and cultural sensitivity. The high cost of their limited-edition sneakers often leaves out potential customers who can't afford them. Furthermore, the brand has been criticized for cultural appropriation in some of its designs. Lastly, the fast-selling sneaker releases create a secondary market where the shoes are resold at exorbitant prices, benefiting only those who can afford it.

MARKETING CHALLENGE

Here are the key questions you'll need to address:

  1. How can Sneaker Street create culturally sensitive marketing strategies?

  2. What can be done to make the products more accessible to a broader economic audience?

  3. How can the brand generate buzz while maintaining ethical boundaries?

Your assignment is to devise a digital marketing plan that answers these challenges.
