The promotion creates urgency because the deals are available for a limited time, pushing customers to purchase before the event ends. This strategy not only boosts sales during the event but also increases brand visibility.

 

Long-Term Sales Promotions
Long-term sales promotions, as the name suggests, focus on fostering customer loyalty and repeat business over an extended period. These promotions are usually ongoing, creating long-term relationships with customers by rewarding them for their continued patronage. The focus is on building lasting habits rather than one-time purchases.

 

Example:
Starbucks’ loyalty program is a great example of a long-term promotion. Starbucks rewards customers with stars for every purchase, which can be redeemed for free drinks, food, and other rewards. The promotion keeps customers coming back, as they want to collect more stars and earn more rewards. This strategy encourages repeat visits and helps build customer loyalty over time.
