EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

            A one-page description of the campaign which is 45 days max.

 

Yes, this is the first section of the project, but it is also the last section you write.  It is a summary of the entire project.

 

I am going to say something you might not want to hear:  There is a reasonable chance that this is the only section of your project the judge(es) will read, or at least the section they will read carefully.  That is true with all projects, but not as frustrating with this one.  The vast majority of the points come from the presentation.  However, the executive summary is scored  (up to 10 points) so it is good that judges read it.  It also makes it important for you to write a quality summary.

 

I recommend you write this section as though it is the ONLY part of your project the judge will see.  Include the key points from each section but emphasize the details of your cause marketing recommendations and why you believe your suggestions will be effective.

 

Identify 3-5 key points from your project and share them here.  Approach this as though the 10-page limit has been reduced to one.  Think like you are putting your project on Twitter!  Cut out the unnecessary filler and get to the key details.
